Vidya Malvalde is an Indian model turned actress, mainly working in Bollywood.Her height is 5 ft 5 inches.

She is brown haired and her eye color is black.

Her husband, pilot Capt Bagga, died when his plane, the Alliance Air Boeing, collided with a building at Patna.She studied Law and worked as an air hostess.

She made her debut  with Vikram Bhatt's "Inteha" in 2003. The movie also had newcomers Ashmit Patel  and  Nauheed Cyrusi. She played the role of the elder sister of Nauheed who wnats to protect her sister from Ashmit Patel's character in the movie.But the movie  flopped at the box office.

Her second release "Mashooka" was also a flop but Vidya Malavade is not ready to give up. The model-turned-actress next apperaed in Bobby Behl's 'U, Bomsi and Me".But even this movie went unnoticed.

After a string of unsuccessful movies and several advertisements,her fate smiled at her and she bagged the lead female role opposite Shahrukh Khan in the Yash Raj Film "Chak De India" (2007).During her acting in the film  she got some excellent experience and she has been a Shahrukh Khan fan already.

But this is not the first time that Vidya is pairing with the King Khan. She has already done a Santro ad with the superstar. But it took Vidya a couple of months shooting with SRK to know the man behind the superstar.

Vidya Malvade is a very hardworking girl. She went through an intensive two-month hockey training at a hockey camp, in order to be prepared for her role in the movie " Chak De India" where she plays the role of a newly married Sikh girl who is a part of the female National Hockey team but faces serious opposition from her family.
