Shamita Shetty (Ht. 5' 10½") was born on 2 February 1979. She is an Indian actress. She is the younger sister of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.

She is best known for her item numbers, such as "Sharara" in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2001) and "Chori Pe Chori" in Saathiya (2002). However, she has also appeared as an actress in such films as Wajahh: A Reason to Kill and Bewafaa.

Shamita Shetty attended St Anthony's Girls High School in Chembur, Mumbai. Graduated with a degree in Commerce from Sydenham College in Mumbai; also completed a diploma course in Fashion Design from SNDT.
